Spatial transcriptomics of leaf development

CO2 Fixation Using Biological Engineering

Leaf development involves coordinated growth and differentiation across multiple cell layers and tissue types. Using spatial transcriptomic profiling, we generated a high-resolution map of gene expression patterns across the developing leaf, capturing the transitions between proliferative and differentiated zones. This work complements single-cell atlases by preserving tissue context, enabling identification of spatially restricted regulatory programs governing vein patterning, stomatal differentiation, and mesophyll specification.
